Gitaris band NOAH, Mohamad Kautsar atau Uki dikabarkan telah berhijrah. Setelah mengikuti pengajian di Jember, Jawa Timur.
Uki mempelajari agama secara mendalam dan mulai gundah dengan profesi yang ia tekuni selama ini.
Uki pun disebut-sebut bakal menyusul Reza, drumer NOAH, yang lebih dulu hengkang dari band karena berhijrah.
Terkait kabar hijrahnya Uki, Rio Alief, additional drummer NOAH, memberi tanggapan. Rio membenarkan bahwa beberapa waktu belakangan Uki sedang giat-giatnya mempelajari agama.
"Iya, sudah ramai ya beritanya, viral. Gue sendiri juga kaget bisa viral di sosmed. Tapi Uki memang bassically, akhir-akhir ini soal agama cukup intens ya.
Tapi ya itu kan positif ya, ibadah ya positif daripada hal-hal yang enggak-enggak kan, gitu," kata Rio, kepada wartawan di kawasan Gunawarman, Jakarta Sekatan, Rabu (16/1).
Kendati demikian, terkait nasib Uki di band NOAH, Rio belum berani berbicara banyak. Menurut Rio, internal NOAH maupun pihak label belum membicarakan hal ini.
"Cuma untuk ke depannya gimana, gua jujur belum tau. Yang jelas NOAH akan jalan terus. Ariel kan kebetulan lagi ada kontrak solo brand ambassador, ya sibuk itu.
Sebenarnya, belum ada obrolan panjang terkait itu. Gue ketemu Uki juga enggak tanya hal itu," jelasnya.
Lebih lanjut, soal keputusan untuk bertahan di band atau memilih fokus memperdalam agama, dianggap Rio sebagai urusan pribadi masing-masing personel.
"Kami enggak ngurusin soal personal masing-masing. Itu yang buat band ini bertahan mungkin ya," tandasnya.
